2. Your chalet in detail.

General.

Your chalet accommodates 7 people. When you arrive at the Parkietenlaantje, you will see your chalet with log cabin immediately on the right. You can park your car in front of or next to the log cabin.

At the front there is an open terrace as well as a veranda with a table and chairs. The cushions can be found in the storage room in the chalet. The white cabinet on the veranda is locked and contains items not for use during your stay (note: including paints and liquids that may be harmful to children).

The chalet is equipped with Wi‑Fi. You can connect free of charge (Wi‑Fi name: 3GR33_Gast, password: GW-3756437). Because you are in the countryside, internet speed may vary.

Barbecue.

There is a barbecue on the terrace. Please note that in summer there are many periods of high outdoor temperatures when it is forbidden to use charcoal/open fire. You are in a wooded area with a high risk of wildfires in dry and warm weather. Always check here: https://www.natuurbrandrisico.nl/. If charcoal barbecuing is not allowed, you can use gas or electric. Enjoy!

Layout.

Upon entering, you will find the separate toilet on the right. In the toilet there is a sliding door behind which the central heating system and the internet equipment are located.

The first room next to the toilet is used as a storage and laundry room. You will also find the washing machine there. Please bring your own detergent. The manual can be found here.

The next room is a bedroom with a pull‑out double bed. Here you can watch a video on how to turn the sofa‑bed into a double bed.

The following room has a double bed, a storage cabinet with compartments and a separate wardrobe.

In the hall you will also find a freestanding fridge and a microwave.

Next to the front door you will find, among other things, a small (rechargeable) torch. Together with a rechargeable lamp in the living room, it can serve as emergency lighting in case of a power cut. Both can be charged with a USB‑C charger (in one of the sockets in the living room).

Opposite the kitchen is the bathroom with a walk‑in shower, a washbasin with drawers, a wall cabinet, a small bin and a laundry basket.

In the kitchen you can use the Nespresso machine. The welcome pack contains a few capsules. More capsules are available at the holiday park supermarket. The manual is here: https://www.krups.be/nl/gebruiksaanwijzing/Producten/Dranken/Nespresso/Nespresso-U/csp/8000034728

In the living room you will find a television. The available channels depend on the cable TV provided by the holiday park (well‑known Dutch channels and some foreign channels).

The air conditioner is in the living room. The remote controls for the TV and the air conditioner are next to the television. Note: the air conditioner requires a lot of power. As the chalet’s maximum electrical load is 16A, you cannot use the air conditioner at the same time as other high‑power appliances (e.g. washing machine or microwave), otherwise the fuses may trip.

There is also a sofa bed in the living room. How to use it is shown in the image below:

Sofa bed instructions

A maximum of one pet is allowed during your stay if you indicated this when booking. An additional fee has been charged and is included in your total price.

2. Your chalet in detail.

Your chalet accommodates 7 people. The layout of the chalet is as follows.

When you arrive at the Parkietenlaan, you will see your chalet with log cabin immediately on the right. You can park your car in front of or next to the log cabin.

There is also a barbecue on the terrace. Please note that during periods of high outdoor temperatures it is forbidden to use open fire, and therefore to barbecue.

Fire alarm and carbon monoxide detection.

Linked smoke detectors are installed in the chalet and in the log cabin. If there is smoke in the chalet or in the log cabin, all detectors will trigger a fire alarm. These detectors can only be silenced once no smoke is detected anymore. In the user manual, which you can find here, you can see how to test the alarm and how to switch it off after a (false) alarm.

Note that the fire alarm can also go off if too much smoke is produced while cooking!

There are two gas‑fired appliances in the chalet, namely the central heating unit in the cupboard in the toilet and the gas hob. Although both are in good condition and regularly maintained, there is also a CO detector for safety, which will alarm if an excessive concentration of carbon monoxide is detected. If this alarm sounds: leave the chalet immediately and alert professionals or the emergency services!
